We were instructed by a private individual to prepare a planning appraisal and strategy note to assess the prospects of achieving consent for the conversion of a surplus agricultural barn to a dwelling in Derbyshire.

Following the formulation of a suitable planning strategy, Derwent Planning has been instructed to coordinate and manage the submission of a Class Q prior approval application to the Council.

Derwent Planning is instructed by our landowner client to project manage the technical process for the redevelopment of a difficult and complex former military base. The site is an allocated brownfield site in the East Riding Local Plan for 360 dwellings.

Our role is to manage the technical consulting team, advise over planning strategy and work up a technically informed masterplan before entering into pre-application discussions with the Council. Following this, we will manage the coordination and submission of an outline planning application to the Council.

Derwent Planning was instructed by the client to submit a full planning application for the demolition of an existing industrial building and the redevelopment of the site for 40 apartments, following positive pre-app discussions with the Council.

Working closely with the client’s architect and technical consulting team, a high quality, design led scheme was prepared to maximise commercial value, whilst responding positively to the surrounding residential area.

Derwent Planning was instructed on behalf of the landowner to support in the promotion of the site to the emerging Doncaster Local Plan.

We provided input and planning advice over the site’s constraints and opportunities, setting out a clear planning strategy for promotion and liaising with the client’s architect to inform a concept masterplan and Vision Document.
